You've probably heard a lot about amazing new AI tools lately. News about 'the smartest AI' can sound exciting, but it's worth taking a closer look at what that actually means for your daily life or small business.

Recently, one company, Anthropic, released an AI called Claude Fable 5. It's considered one of the most capable AIs available for public use. It's very good at tackling complex, drawn-out problems. Think of it like a super-brain able to process huge amounts of information and work on tricky tasks for a long time. However, this level of power comes with a higher price tag.

For many Aussie small businesses or everyday tasks, you might not actually need an AI with this much brawn. Often, the problems we face are more straightforward or don't require the AI to 'think' for hours on end. Using a simpler, more affordable AI for tasks like drafting emails, summarising documents, or managing schedules could be a much better fit for your budget and needs.

The real lesson here is that 'smartest' doesn't always mean 'best value' or 'most practical'.
